Shoes for women who are in the prime of life. Women who take their place in society and walk through life confidently. élue shoes take this into account. The design of the shoes leaves room for slightly wider feet, but without compromising on design and elegance.

élue shoes are made with lasts that are specially made for the brand. In the area of the metatarsal bone, ie where many women suffer from hallux valgus, the shoe shaft is wider than in standard shoes. The shoes have not been widened in the heel area. In addition, we make sure during production that no seams or finishes affect this sensitive part of the foot.

The story of élue

I grew up in a small town in Switzerland, in our household the word "practical" was the word and design was a foreign word. When I was in my late twenties, I started working for an international publishing house for contemporary photography. It was exciting, photography was starting to become an art form in its own right and was moving at the interface with fashion. And with that a new era began for me. Milan, London, Paris, New York, Berlin, a different way of seeing things, everything changed and with it my love for simple lines, good materials combined with functionality grew.

Shoes were part of this journey. I started buying other things, paying more attention to what I wore, realizing that clothing is more than a necessity. In the early 2000s, I stopped throwing away worn-out shoes and started storing them in the basement. I had this crazy idea of having shoes made myself. Several years passed before I began to realize this dream. In 2018, I set foot in a shoe factory for the first time. A few years later, I presented élue shoes for the first time in a pop-up. The first collection came in 2020 and then COVID. For a long time, I didn't know if I would continue my adventure. At the beginning of 2023, I met my current supplier, a small family business near Como. And so the story of élue continues.
